Features and Applications
KOVET-ER70S-6 ECO is a carbon steel / mild steel welding wire designed for use with CO₂ shielding gas or a mixed gas of Argon 80% / CO₂ 20% in MIG/MAG welding processes.
In the MIG/MAG welding process, the arc is protected by shielding gas to ensure stable weld quality. This welding wire offers high tensile strength up to 50 kgf/mm², providing strong and reliable weld joints.
It supports all-position welding for thin steel plates, while higher welding currents are recommended for vertical and overhead welding positions. The wire delivers excellent mechanical properties, producing smooth weld beads with good shape, minimal spatter, and soft, stable arc characteristics.

Application Recommendations
Before welding, thoroughly clean the workpiece to remove rust, oil, and other contaminants.

CO₂ gas only is used as shielding gas in the MAG welding process, suitable for carbon steel welding.

Argon + CO₂ mixed gas is used as shielding gas in the MIG welding process, suitable for various metals, providing excellent mechanical properties, toughness, and crack resistance.
Weld metal mechanical properties and crack resistance depend on proper adjustment of welding current and shielding gas flow rate. Users should adjust these parameters appropriately to suit specific welding conditions.
